Corpus Christi police crack down on pocket bikes, minibikes on city streets

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department says officers impounded nine motorcycles, minibikes, and pocket bikes after stopping a group riding on city streets on May 22.

According to police, officers with the department’s Violent Crimes Unit spotted several riders operating the vehicles on a public roadway around 8:40 p.m.

Officers then pulled the group over for multiple traffic violations, including illegally operating pocket bikes and minibikes on public streets…
