Two agricultural first handlers have received grant funds from the Texas Department Agriculture to help with the operations, according to a news release from Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller’s office.
Miller’s office said in a July 21 news release the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), and the Texas Agricultural Finance Authority (TAFA) announced recipients of the AgLink Continuity Grant Program.
The program provided $22.5 million to 80 agricultural first handlers across 45 Texas counties, according to the release. Among San Patricio County companies to receive grants were the Gregory Gin Company and West Portland Gin, Inc.
