Bee County students among Coastal Bend Community Foundation scholarship recipients

Four Bee County students are among more than 260 recipients selected for scholarships through the Coastal Bend Community Foundation for the 2026–27 academic year, part of a regional effort supporting students pursuing higher education across South Texas.

The foundation recognized scholarship recipients during its annual Scholarship Brunch held June 27 in Corpus Christi, where students, families, donors and community leaders gathered to celebrate academic achievement and the role of private philanthropy in expanding access to college. According to the foundation, more than $700,000 in scholarships were awarded this year across its seven-county service area.

Among this year’s Bee County recipients, Kalli Jade Botello of A.C. Jones High School received the Patricia L. Jalufka Endowed Scholarship and plans to attend Grand Canyon University…
