(Gainesville)-Northeast Georgia Health System’s (NGHS) lung cancer resection surgery program has earned top ratings from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), placing it among the highest-performing thoracic surgery centers in the nation.
According to the latest STS report, based on data from 2023-2025, NGHS received a “Better Than Expected” rating in overall performance and in preventing major surgical complications. Only 32 hospitals nationwide achieved the distinction.
