A court battle that has lasted more than five years over bail bonds ended this week with a judge ordering Gwinnett County Sheriff Keybo Taylor to restore a bonding company’s ability to issue bail in the county.
Gwinnett County Superior Court Senior Judge David Irwin issued the order in The Bondman’s lawsuit against Taylor on Wednesday. The Bondsman was one of a handful of bail bonding companies whose ability to issue bail bonds in Gwinnett County was revoked by Taylor a few months after he took office in 2021.
The Bondsman’s owner, John Nevil, and his attorney, Luke Boggs, said they hoped to have the certificate reinstated sometime between late Friday afternoon or early next week…
