ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Pickens County deputies euthanized a bear that was hit by a car on Tuesday morning.
At around 7:15 a.m., deputies were called to the area of Highway 108 and Fairview Road, where they found the severely injured bear. Following the Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) guidance, the deputies put the bear down with two rifle shots.
