Tydrick Davis, a man wanted on a capital murder charge in the 2024 killing of a Beaumont woman, has been captured, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Davis was arrested in Dallas County by the U.S. Marshals Service, according to a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Since learning of his release from custody, members of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office U.S. Marshals Task Force worked with federal, state and local law enforcement partners to locate and apprehend him. He was taken into custody without incident.
Davis, along with Javonta Turner and D’Corey Shillow, was indicted on a capital murder charge in connection with the death of 39-year-old Ebonie Gilbert. Gilbert was shot and killed outside her Beaumont home on Sept. 26, 2024, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained from Magistrate Marc DeRouen.
