Texas’ dining scene is back in the national spotlight, and this time for its impeccable brunch. OpenTable released its annual list of the top 100 brunch spots across the country, including nearly a dozen in the Lone Star state.
The restaurant reservation platform’s latest rankings were compiled based on 10 million reviews from March 2025 to March 2026 with eateries evaluated on diner ratings, percentage of advance reservations, percentage of capacity, direct searches and other data points.
Among the list of OpenTable’s top-rated restaurants, 11 in Texas made the list from Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio—many of which have also been spotlighted with Michelin and James Beard Foundation recognition:
- Aba, a Mediterranean restaurant with California influence, in Austin
- Al Biernat’s Oak Lawn, an upscale steakhouse, in Dallas
- Café Pacific, neighborhood seafood and steak restaurant, in Dallas
- Chama Gaúcha, a Brazilian steakhouse, in San Antonio
- Hudson House-Lakewood, a seafood and burger bar, in Dallas
- Josephine House, a blue cottage cafe and restaurant, in Austin
- Le Jardinier, a modern French museum-housed restaurant, in Houston
- Maximo, a West University Place Mexican restaurant, in Houston
- Perla’s, a seafood and oyster bar, in Austin
- Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, a Houston-born steakhouse chain, in Dallas
- Suerte, a rustic-contemporary Mexican restaurant, in Austin
This comes months behind the recognition of 10 Texas restaurants in OpenTable’s Top 100 Restaurants in America in Austin, Dallas and Houston, as Chron previously reported. With back-to-back recognition, Aba and Suerte were both highly ranked on the Top 100 Restaurants list and Top 100 Brunch lists…
