College athlete dies at just 21 after suffering sudden medical emergency on track at competition

A COLLEGE athlete has tragically died at just 21 due to a sudden medical emergency during a track event.

A collegiate distance runner from Texas died during the competition in Louisiana last week.

Graycen Vargo, 21, suffered a medical emergency during a track meet hosted by Xavier University in New Orleans last Friday, per the late student’s school, Texas A&M University-Texarkana.

Vargo collapsed and was “given immediate medical attention on site” before he was brought to a local hospital, where he died, the school revealed…
