WAYNESVILLE, Ohio (WKEF) — When Jeff Bonham entered retirement, he didn’t expect that he’d end up owning an inn and restaurant on the main street in his town.
“My wife and daughter came to me and said ‘We found this really great place in Waynesville, the Hammel House, and we’d like to buy it’, and I said ‘No way, that’s crazy,'” said Bonham.
But, he says they twisted in his arm, and now his family are the owners of the Hammel House Inn and Restaurant, a business the community has been waiting to reopen since it caught fire in 2024…
