DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The city of West Carrollton will have large items / bulk trash pickup throughout the week of Oct. 5 to Oct. 9.
This will take place on your regularly scheduled collection day. The city said items which are not properly bundled / wrapped will not be picked up.
Prior to setting out your items, you are asked to check everything is prepared properly. Accepted items include:
- Boards and carpet, but the nails must be removed.
- Brush, which must be tied into small bundles, which can’t be more than three feet long, eighteen inches in diameter or 50 lbs.
- Carpet, which also can’t be more than three feet long, eighteen inches in diameter or 50 lbs. It must be rolled and securely bundled with rope, string or duct tape.
- Glass items, which must be taped and securely wrapped.
- Mattresses, box springs, couches, chairs and other fabric items. These must be fully wrapped in plastic.
- Old appliances.
- Paint, which must be properly sealed.
- Other bulk household items.
Items NOT accepted include the following:
- Concrete
- Construction debris
- Contractor-generated building materials
- Dirt
- Firewood
- Loose brush
- Rocks
- Root balls
- Tree stumps
