Teen Shot Outside Southwest Atlanta Apartments As Fairburn Road Violence Flares Again

Gunfire once again rattled the Fairburn Road corridor Tuesday evening, this time leaving a 16-year-old boy wounded near a group of apartment complexes in southwest Atlanta, according to police.

Officers were called just before 5:30 p.m. to the area of 400 Fairburn Road, where they found the teen with a gunshot wound. He was described as alert, conscious and breathing when an ambulance took him to the hospital.

According to Atlanta News First, investigators have not yet said what led up to the shooting, and no suspects have been publicly identified. Detectives are canvassing the area and working to track down witnesses as the case remains under active investigation.
