Family remembers DeKalb shooting spree victim Lauren Bullis as ‘selfless, kind and compassionate’

ATLANTA — The family of one of the victims in Monday morning’s shooting spree in DeKalb County is remembering her for her bright and sharing spirit.

Lauren Bullis, 40, was one of three victims in a spree of random, violent and devastating attacks that spanned Brookhaven and south DeKalb on Monday. Her family said in a statement to 11Alive’s Chase Houle on Tuesday that she was “selfless, kind and compassionate.”

“She deeply loved her family and found joy in running, reading and traveling,” the statement said. “Her warmth and generosity touched everyone surrounding her.”…
