CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne City Council’s Finance Committee has agreed to support a city contribution of $380,928 to the minimal revenue guarantee, or MRG, with SkyWest Airlines for continued air routes between Cheyenne and Denver.
The committee, made up of four members of the Cheyenne City Council, supporting paying the city’s share of the MRG’s total cost of $1,904,644 for 2027. Because flight service at regional airports in places like Wyoming is often volatile and unprofitable, municipalities agree to pay airlines a guaranteed dollar amount every year to ensure flights continue.
