U.S. Army responds to Evergreen home for report of unexploded military munitions

EVERGREEN, Colo. (KKTV) – The U.S. Army responded to a Clear Creek County home Tuesday after unexploded military ordnances were found.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office (CCCSO) said deputies responded to a home in Evergreen for a homeowner who reported that they had two unexploded military ordnances that were considered to be potentially dangerous.

Upon arriving on scene, CCCSO said the detective sergeant chose to call out the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad. Two bomb technicians responded, and after X-raying the ordnance and learning that they still had a fuse, they chose to reach out to the U.S. Army…
