DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines Police have arrested a suspect related to a hit-and-run that took place Wednesday morning.
Just before 6:30 a.m., police say they responded to a report of someone struck by a car near Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Washington Avenue.
First responders arrived to find bystanders providing first aid to the victim. Medics took over and transported the victim to MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. The victim, a 57-year-old female, died at the hospital.
