Weston excited about Mrs. Iowa USA role

(Shenandoah) — A Shenandoah woman is continuing a lifelong ambition of competing in pageants.

Kindra Weston was selected as Mrs. Iowa USA 2027 in recent competition in Des Moines. Weston is now gearing up to represent Iowa at the Mrs. USA Pageant in Houston next July. A 2003 Farragut High school graduate, Weston holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northwest Missouri State University and a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Bellevue University. Weston tells KMA News a friend encouraged her to compete for the Mrs. Iowa title. And, it’s not the first pageant she’s entered.

“I started when I was in elementary school,” said Weston, “and competed clear up until I was probably about 25. Then, I aged out of the ‘miss’ category, and kind of moved on, and had a family, and then life happened, and recently just decided to circle back to the pageant world.”…
