Ferndale Pride to feature drag shows, climbing wall

FERNDALE — Ferndale’s annual Pride festival returns Saturday, May 30, bringing more than 200 vendors, performers and entertainers to downtown for a celebration leading into Pride Month.

The family-friendly street fair runs from 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. along West Nine Mile Road between Woodward and Livernois avenues and portions of Planavon and Allen streets. The event is free to the public and expected to draw thousands of members of the LGBTQIA community.

“Ferndale Pride is incredibly grateful to the individuals who stepped up again this year to fill the gaps in sponsorships,” said event director Julia Music. “We are able to remain free to the public thanks to you.”…
