A Delta flight was about to land in Detroit. Then the co-pilot passed out

A Delta Air Lines flight that took off from Madison, Wisconsin, en route to Detroit on Saturday, May 23, had to make an emergency landing after its first officer lost consciousness, Delta Airlines said on Thursday, May 28.

Officials say during the approach to Detroit Metropolitan Airport, the first officer aboard Delta connection flight 5245, operated by Endeavor Air from Dane County Regional Airport, briefly lost consciousness, but the captain safely landed the aircraft shortly after the incident.
