EASTPOINTE — After decades of customers being able to park directly in front of DeRonne Hardware on Nine Mile Road in Eastpointe, the spaces are set to disappear.
At the Eastpointe City Council’s Sept. 15 meeting, Councilman Harvey Curley made a motion that would have allowed DeRonne Hardware to continue using its existing parking spaces, which are being threatened by the ongoing construction on Nine Mile Road.
However, the motion died without a vote after no other council member offered support…
