DETROIT – Detroit Dog Rescue is facing an emergency: its kennels are at capacity, and its supply of dog food is critically low, following recent storms that staff say have driven more stray dogs out of hiding and into the streets.
“It’s definitely like one of the worst that we’ve seen,” said shelter manager and trainer Kristen Kuechenmeister.
