Westland man with ties to ISIS sentenced to 20 years in prison

WESTLAND, Mich. (WNEM) – A Michigan man has been sentenced for attempting to provide support to ISIS and possessing a destructive device.

Aws Naser will spend the next 20 years in federal prison, the U.S. Department of Justice said. The 38-year-old Westland man was convicted on June 3, 2025.
