Homebuilder Beechwood and The Conservation Fund finalized a transaction that’s expected to permanently conserve about 80 acres of a 120-acre development in Chapel Hill known as South Creek.
The conservation area will be part of the 816-home development and is located along Wilson Creek at South Creek, on the 4500 block of South Columbia Street. The $500 million project will include 636 condominiums, 92 apartments and 88 townhomes, along with 30,000 square feet of commercial and retail space along N.C. 15-501.
The Conservation Fund will transfer ownership of the land this fall to the Triangle Land Conservancy to be conserved in perpetuity for the pubic, according to a release…
