Two men were hurt in a shooting aboard a GoDurham bus late Friday night, according to the Durham Police Department. No suspect has been identified or arrested.
Officers were called to the intersection of North Roxboro Street and Edwards Street in Durham, North Carolina, around 10 p.m. on Oct. 9 after reports of shots fired on the bus. Reports from the scene put the call at about 10:20 p.m., and one account placed the shooting at roughly 10:18 p.m.
What police found
When officers arrived, they found 1. one man and 2. a second man with gunshot wounds. Both are being treated for their injuries, though the severity of those injuries has not been made public. Police said no other injuries were reported.
What led to the gunfire
During their initial investigation, officers determined that the shots were fired during an altercation. Police have not said how the altercation started, who was involved or whether the two men were passengers or had any connection to each other.
