The possibility of a Buc-ee’s opening in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA — As Buc-ee’s continues expanding across the Midwest, South and East Coast, Oklahoma remains one of the largest states without a location from the Texas-based travel center chain. Despite bordering Texas, where Buc-ee’s was founded and operates dozens of stores, Oklahoma has yet to receive a location of its own.

While the company has not announced any Oklahoma projects, the state possesses many of the characteristics Buc-ee’s typically looks for when entering new markets. With major interstate corridors, strong regional traffic and available development land, Oklahoma could become a logical target for future expansion.
