OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — UPDATE: Officials say the Kilpatrick Turnpike is now open after a grass fire shut down eastbound lanes at Santa Fe.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department (OKCFD) said a sparking electronic billboard combined with high winds started a grass fire in the area.
An OG&E worker shut off power to the sign, but the grass fire continued to spread with heavy smoke covering both east and westbound lanes…
