A Family Was Home When a Semi-Truck Smashed Into Their Bedroom in NW Oklahoma City
A semi-truck crossed into oncoming traffic on Monday morning in northwest Oklahoma City. It did not stop until it was inside someone’s bedroom.
The family, two adults and one child, were home when it happened. The truck had already torn through four backyards to get there. That is not a near-miss. That is a scene that should not be possible in a residential neighborhood.
The House on Northwest 70th Street Had No Warning
Just after 10 a.m. on August 10, 2026, the Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to the 4700 block of NW 70th Street, near North Meridian Avenue and the Northwest Expressway.
The semi was heading westbound when it veered into eastbound traffic, left the road, and hit the spare bedroom after tearing through four backyards. The two adults and one child inside were not injured. The driver was taken to hospital in stable condition…
