OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Saturday was hot in the 100s, Sunday was hot in the 100s, and Labor Day should continue that pattern. As of Sunday, we are currently sitting at 37 days with highs in the triple digits here in Oklahoma City. This puts us 8th all time for the years with the most 100-degree days. With more 100s in the forecast for Labor Day and the beginning of the week, we potentially could tie 2006’s 38 days in 7th place or even exceed it. However, while the overall trend still looks to be warm compared to normal, there is some good news on the horizon in the form of two cold fronts! These fronts look to not only cool us down some but also BRING RAIN INTO THE FORECAST! Yes, we could see some rain as early as the middle of this week with another front expected at some point next weekend! Rainfall totals may not be very impressive, but this is great news!
