NW OKC Driver Plows Into Home, Vanishes Into the Night

Neighbors in northwest Oklahoma City woke up to sirens and flashing lights early Wednesday after a car slammed into a home, and the driver took off running into the dark, according to police.

The crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. near NW 80th Street and Walker Avenue, prompting officers to flood the neighborhood and start a house-to-house search. As of Wednesday morning, authorities had not released any details about possible injuries or the condition of anyone inside the home.

According to KOCO, Oklahoma City police said the driver hit the home, then “took off running,” leaving the damaged property and a lot of unanswered questions behind. Officers were canvassing the area for the suspect, but the station reported that police had not yet released a description of the person they were looking for while the search was underway.
