Washington, DC – The U.S. Marshals (USMS) in New Mexico, following a lead from the USMS in Western Missouri on Tuesday, arrested a man wanted by the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri for child kidnapping (non-parental).
The fugitive, who had a lengthy criminal history and was known to be armed and dangerous, was suspected of having abducted two children.
Investigators with the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office and the Western Missouri Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force determined that the fugitive was traveling to [Vado], New Mexico, with the abducted children and sent a lead to the to the USMS District of New Mexico, Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT).
When SWIFT members located and observed the fugitives’ vehicle come to a stop in Chaparral, New Mexico, they apprehended him and recovered the missing children safely at that location.…
