El Paso police detectives currently do not suspect foul play but are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death of a man found in a Northeast canal, a police spokeswoman said.
The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found Friday afternoon, July 17, in the water of a canal that runs along Girl Scout Way near Transmountain Road, Detective Judy Oviedo, an El Paso Police Department spokeswoman, said in an email.
