Growth of Hummingbird Fire slows; contain at 12%

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The growth of the Hummingbird Fire, burning in the Gila Wilderness, has slowed down and containment has increased, fire officials said on Saturday, May 2.

The fire, burning 15 miles east of Glenwood, New Mexico, is now at 5,650 acres and 12 percent containment. The fire grew about 400 acres in the past day, which is a considerably slower rate than it has been doing.
