BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Chautauqua County manufacturing plant will lay off a total of 79 workers later this year, according to information filed with the state Department of Labor.
Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics, which has a plant in Falconer, will begin laying workers off in September. The reason listed for the layoffs is “economic.”
Saint-Gobain, whose headquarters is located in France and is present in 80 countries, is a “worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction” and it “designs, manufactures and distributes materials and services adapted to the residential, non-residential and infrastructure markets,” according to its website…
