Northwestern REC crews are actively responding to a power outage impacting just over 1,000 members served by the Elgin substation.
The outage is affecting members in the communities of Elgin, Beaverdam, Corry, Union City, and Wattsburg.
According to Northwestern REC on Facebook, the outage was caused by trees falling onto the main feeder line, resulting in damage that includes at least two broken utility poles. Crews have been dispatched to assess the damage and restore service as quickly as possible…
