A Westmoreland County man scheduled to appear in court in Erie next week to face charges in a fatal 2025 boating accident on Lake Erie is facing misdemeanor drug charges in his home county following a raid July 8.
Derek Bold, 22, of North Huntingdon, was jailed on $25,000 bond in Westmoreland County following his arraignment July 8 on misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court documents. A lawyer for Bold in the case was not listed on his criminal docket sheet July 9.
North Huntingdon Township police charged Bold in an investigation that led authorities including members of the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General to serve a search warrant on a residence in the 2000 block of Shaw Street in North Huntingdon on July 8.
