Wabtec’s 14th Annual Girls in STEAM

For 14 years, the Wabtec Girls Who STEAM Camp has been introducing local students to the exciting possibilities found in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics.

The annual camp gives students a firsthand look at careers in STEAM fields through hands-on activities, interactive lessons, and mentorship opportunities with professionals working in those industries. Organizers say the goal is to help young people explore their interests while building confidence and envisioning future career paths.

Participants spend the week learning from engineers and other mentors who guide them through projects designed to showcase how STEAM concepts are used in the real world.
