(WJET/WFXP/ YourErie.com )– Erie Police have arrested an Erie teen and are searching for another suspect after they allegedly stole a vehicle from an Erie residence and led police on a brief chase Friday night.
Erie Police were called around midnight after an Erie woman reported her Kia Altima was stolen from her residence.

Police said they located a car matching the description of the stolen vehicle later that evening at a gas station at the intersection of Broad St. and Buffalo Rd. with no visible license plate and conducted a traffic stop.
During that stop, the driver took off leading to a short vehicle pursuit before the driver pulled into a parking lot in the 1400 block of East 19th St. and fled along with another occupant.

Police said were able to catch up to and arrest the occupant, identified as a male teenage juvenile, and found he was also in possession of a firearm. The driver remains at large as police continue to investigate.
