The National Weather Service issued a report at 11:47 p.m. on Monday for strong thunderstorms until Tuesday at 12:30 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.
The storms are expected to bring nickel-sized hail (0.88 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
“At 11:47 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near North East, or 11 miles east of Erie, moving east at 20 mph,” adds the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.”…
