PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Prefontaine Classic is bringing together one of the fastest 100-meter fields ever to Hayward Field on July 4th.
This one race alone has seven of the world’s top 10-ranked sprinters, including Olympians, National Champions, and a combined 19 World Championship medals. The field is led by reigning World Champion Oblique Seville of Jamaica who most recently ran a world-leading 9.82 at the Jamaican Championships and has a personal-best 9.77.
Also competing is two-time Olympic silver medalist Kenny Bednarek with a PR of 9.79 as well as former Prefontaine Classic champion Trayvon Bromell, whose 9.76 PR ranks among the fastest times in history…
