One man was taken to the hospital with severe burns following a fire that broke out on the fourth floor of Bridges on Broadway, a low-income housing complex in downtown Eugene, according to Battalion Chief Riley Martinka.
The Saturday, Aug. 1, fire comes nearly a year after its opening, Aug. 21, 2025. Wyatt Penrod, a case manager for Bridges on Broadway, said the building houses 61 residents.
