LCSO warns drivers to plan before drinking for National Alcohol Awareness Month

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — April is National Alcohol Awareness Month, and the Lane County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) says alcohol impairment is the top contributing factor in all serious crashes on county roads.

LCSO tells us a big misconception that leads impaired drivers to think they’re legally safe to drive is that they’re not above the legal blood alcohol limit — .08 percent.

Officials say that doesn’t mean you aren’t impaired…
