Woman tells EPD she called 911 to get a ride home

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A woman is behind bars after she told officers she called 911 for a ride home.

EPD documents say officers were called to Monroe Avenue on Friday after a woman reported an assault. Officers met with the caller, Courtney Hernandez, but she refused to identify the suspect who allegedly assaulted her.

Officers say Hernandez then said she only called 911 to get a ride home. This is when officers noticed signs of intoxication, and she was arrested.

Hernandez is now in the Vanderburgh County Jail and charged with public intoxication and unlawful use of 911…
