Gibson County sheriff’s deputies rescue woman, dog from flood waters

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Deputies with the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office have had their hands full monitoring flood waters in the county.

Deputies say they rescued a 72-year-old woman and her dog on Sunday. This is one of multiple calls the office has received during the day, including a car that is stranded on State Road 64.

According to Oakland City Mayor James Deffendall, State Road 64 east of Oakland City at the Pike/Gibson County line is still flooded. If you see flooded water, officials say to turn around and to not attempt to drive through it…
