EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Three men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery which occurred earlier this month in Evansville, according to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began on June 9 after the sheriff’s office said a victim reported being robbed in the 200 block of Mulberry Street. The victim told investigators he had arranged through social media to meet someone to sell or trade a shotgun. When he arrived at the meeting location, he was allegedly confronted by three men who held him at gunpoint and stole his shotgun and cellphone before fleeing on foot, the sheriff’s office stated.
