EPD: man arrested with disorderly conduct, holding stun gun

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Evansville Police arrest one man on disorderly conduct charges after a confrontation with police where he was holding a stun gun.

EPD says this happened just before midnight. Officers were checking out a possible fire at the at Boys and Girls Club on Bellemeade Avenue. After driving around on South Garvin Street and Brower Avenue, police found numerous spent fireworks cylinders in the middle of the public roadway on Brower.

Several subjects kicked the fireworks out of the way. Once cleared, one subject yelled a curse word, telling police to leave. Police believe that one person who yelled out was 41-year-old Stephan Johnson. Police say he attempted to interfere with the investigation, holding what police thought was a light, but was later discovered to be a stun gun…
