EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – One local restaurant in Evansville has been touched by the devastation in Venezuela after the recent earthquake there – and they want to help.
‘Rockin Chicken’ says that starting Monday, July 6 and going through the end of this month, they will be accepting monetary donations to help provide disaster relief for the people of Venezuela.
14 News spoke to Steve Waddle, owner of Rockin’ Chicken, and he says he’s one of a few restaurants in the area raising money.
Waddle says two of his employees are from Venezuela and he has been making sure their families are okay. He says people can donate by putting money in a bin by the register, and says at the end, he will match the final total…
