EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Evansville Animal Care and Control recently hit capacity. Officials said other shelters in the area are also feeling the strain.
“This is the most we’ve ever had, and we’ve been getting a lot of adoptions. We have great surrounding rescues that work with us, and they usually can help pull. They’re full as well, so they can’t help us pull,” said Missy Mosby, director of Evansville Animal Care and Control.
Officials are urging anyone who is able to help to do so. They said they are seeing an uptick in stray pets and urge owners to come and reclaim their animals…
