Henderson downtown circle: Weekly community bike ride returns for summer

HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) – A free community bike ride is rolling through downtown Henderson every Sunday evening this summer, open to cyclists of all ages and experience levels.

The ride departs from the corner of Third and North Water Street at 6 p.m. each Sunday and follows a five-mile loop organizers call the Downtown Circle — running from one end of downtown to Sand Lane, out to 12th Street, and back to the starting point.

Organizer Nibby Priest said the event originally launched during the COVID-19 pandemic before participation faded in recent years. Priest said the group decided to bring it back for Sunday evenings this summer…
