VCSO warns of financial scams circulating, targets all ages

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Local authorities are warning residents about financial fraud schemes circulating in the community targeting people of all ages.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says victims last year ranged in age from 19 to 88. One common scheme involves callers impersonating law enforcement and claiming the victim has a warrant, then demanding payment.
