HOPE MILLS — Outside Southview Baptist Church, a woman pressed her hand against the hearse carrying the flag-draped coffin of Staff Sgt. Michael Swinton before collapsing into the arms of a man beside her.
Swinton, 30, of Fayetteville, was killed in action July 19 during the controlled detonation of a downed Iranian drone at Erbil Air Base in Iraq.
